Daddy Day Camp
2/5.5 (89 mins) PGThis passable, forgettable sequel to the passable, forgettable 2003 Eddie Murphy comedy Daddy Day Care has Cuba Gooding jnr taking over the Murphy role as the new-age suburban dad. Having made a success out of a day care centre, Charlie (Cuba) and sidekick Phil (Paul Rae replacing Jeff Garlin) take on a rundown camp for kids. There's competition with the rival posh camp and, of course, a host of unresolved childhood rivalries with its owner (Lochlyn Munro). Pratfalls and sight gags ensue at a decent enough rate and include one explosive fart joke and a very inventive bit involving water balloons filled with bodily fluid. -- JIM SCHEMBRI
